Carrier trailers come in different sizes – the very large trailers (carrying op to 10 or 12 cars), are only used for a depot-to- depot service, as the trucks are too large to enter suburbs. Most depots are located outside of main areas to make this easier.

The size of car carriers used to transport your car will make a big difference with regards to quotes.  

– The smaller (4 – 6 car carriers), are mostly used for a door–door service, as the should be able to get quite close to most addresses.

– Smaller trucks (roll-backs and lowbed trailers), are usually used to transport in the main centres, mostly for non-running vehicles. This transport is usually quoted per kilometre.

– Enclosed carriers are mostly used for exotic, sports cars and vintage vehicles. This is usually very expensive, as the carriers mostly transport only one or two cars at a time.
